Family: Poaceae (Grass)
Crested Wheatgrass is an introduced grass that has been widely used in revegetation projects. Crested Wheatgrass is a bunchgrass that often forms a monoculture. Plants turn green in early spring and begin to produce seed heads in late May or June. The comb-like seedheads are persistent, making the grass easy to identify.
