Aletes tenuifolius grows to a height of about 6-inches and has finely dissected leaves. Though not widespread, it is easy to find in sandstone drainages along the trail to Pawnee Buttes. Compare to Musineon divaricatum, which has broader, less dissected leaves and is much more common.
