Ipomopsis spicata (Spike Gilia)
Family: Polemoniaceae (Phlox)
     
Spike Gilia is topped with a dense spike of cream-colored flowers. Plants are sticky with resin glands. Leaves are narrow and pinnately lobed. Plants grow to about 1-foot tall on dry sites on the foothills and plains.
