Verbascum lychnitis
(White Mullein) is a noxious weed in the northeastern U.S. but did not occur until
recently in Colorado. The pictured plants were in the first population found in
the state and were located near Bellvue, CO. Plant height is similar to Common
Mullein, but flowers are white and in a much branched inflorescence. Leaves
lack the dense pubescence found on Common Mullein.
Verbascum lychnitis is a biennial.
